thanks
im going to stick with the gen 3, for a few years.

at what point will i max out the stock injectors?
3.0" pulley is the max for injectors

thanks once again,

im going to research everything for a few days more, and ask some more questions... everyone please feel free to chime in with suggestions and advice.. thanks.

ps. i want to start building as soon as possible, hopefully leave the car done before the brutal winter...

i have decided i will sacrafice a few things (computer and guitar equipment) to be able to save up for a tranny upgrade in a year or so.

im planning to go with the INTENSE Sx1(cam) package
3.0/3.2 Pulley
Lucas 42.5 injectors.
1.9 roller rockers with lightweight pushrods.(yella terra pack)

just a few more things, ....

1- can i run a 3.0" pulley? (i will upgrade injectors, do i need to upgrade?,any
consequences to running maxed out injectors?)

2- the headers come with 3" dp, should i keep the rest of the pipeing 3" also or 2.5"??
(is 3" too much?will it hurt or help gains?)

thanks for advice and opinions i need them!

i am ready to start collecting parts for the build. I am currently doing the maintenance work on the car. this is going to be an adventure and a half for me, i am excited to begin.
i will keep everyone updated as things move on. I have a home-shop mechanic to go to for the heavy valvetrain work, and a welder at a pullyard.
thanks

1.9 rockers AND a CAM? Check on that.

Keep the rest of your piping 2.5" for now.

You can still get the 1.6 roller rocker package. I'm not sure how "worth it" it is though.

thought it was close enough to stock to work with the cam and not effect, thanks!
is it because 1.9 rocker and the cam grind is too much force on the springs and valvestem?
or it will effect valvefloat and throw the cam off?

reason for wanting them is to be more reliable at higher revs. the intense sx1 package comes with some heavy duty components to handle the power of the cam, but leaves out most noticeably pushrods and rockerarms, is it because our stock rockerarms and pushrods can handle it?
figured moving to a 1.9 ratio will make for a more heavy duty rockerarm than a 1.6, but now looking back on it, it can effect the timing of the valves, and postion of the rockerarm might not be adaquate

up to what RPMs are the stock rockers reliable for?

does the series II L67 come with tip or fulcrum rockers? or are they the same thing?

thanks for all the help and the time its greatly appreciated ,i still need to clarify/research some stuff.

The issue with the 1.9:1 rockers is that the S1X already has a higher lift than your stock cam, so putting in 1.9s on top of that is going to seriously stress the springs. The most you should do with the 1x is 1.7s, IIRC. Besides, anything much more than that is just overkill.

If you're going to go to the 1x, you might want to think about doing the Stage 1x cam package. It includes everythng you need to upgrade to handle the cam. Throw in some headers, and you've got an easy 13 second car.
