when i ment broken axle i ment making noise, creaking badly around sharp corners, etc
ive seen those on n/a cars that dont see half the power im making
thats all
and about the internals, ive beat the hell out of my tranny and ive had NO problems in the 50,000 miles, even though im turning over 245/50/r16 tires every day!

More misconceptions here.
Axle failures are quite uncommon on our cars. And they're typically related to high miles or a torn CV boot. Not power. So there'* no point in even discussing them as a possible failure due to shift kits, which is what this topic is about.
In addition, the weight difference of your tires aren't putting any significant stress on your trans internals.

If you want to get a shift kit... Don't go for the Kaboom or Bang kit in your daily driver.. There is no point in it...
Even an older 4T60-E can be somewhat adjusted by the Modulator... But again you want a Firm shift Not a neck snapping shift... Neck snapping shifts are just as bad as a loooooonnnngggg soft shift....
If you have ever seen one of these apart you'll understand why..
But yes a quicker and slightly firmer shifting trans is always nice

EDIT:
After driving it more I have found the following:
1. when you put your foot in it and it has to down shift, the shift is much faster and the lag between foot and acceleration is much shorter.
2. downshifts are much more solid - I used to get a wishy-washy sense when decelerating and then accelerating into a turn. It seemed to be undecided as to which gear it wanted to be in as I accelerated. Not any more.

I am seriously considering this mod but I would want it to stay EXTREMELY smooth on the shifts. Any jerk at all would deter me. After all, that is the beauty of the Bonne right? Smooooooth! You seem to be very pleased with it so I would assume it is very smooth, just quick.
