Default window tinting

ok, i'm not sure if I want to get my windows tinted or not, but if I do, how dark should I go.
I think 20% would be cool, but in MN its illegal to have your windows darker than 35%.
does anyone know the specifics on window tints, because i've heard the back window and the back seat windows dont matter how dark they are.
If that is ture then here'* what I was thinking. I would do the back window and backseat windows 20% and then the drivers and passengers 35%.
would that look stupid, or should I just go with all around 35%?

20 and back and 35 in front will look good. I got lots of friends that put a darker in back and lighter and front and to me it looks better than the same tint all over.

That would be personal preference... some people like the smooth look of same tint all the way around.. and some people like the lighter in front and darker in back ( and also legal ). IT'* totally up to you.. the tint level in the front is set by law so officers can see the driver of the car and in case of an accident.. can also determine if someone is stuck in the car or not ( without having to break the window and having to explain why they broke it ( destruction of private property ))

I went 35% front and 20% it seemed look the best, you want the privacy in the back, but driving safety involves eye contact and recognition and such, it gives it a nicer factory look too.

up to you tho

Ahhhh, when i got my car, it had some real dark stuff in the back windows and the front is a bit lighter....i do not like it, when i come up with some extra cash im going to change it all out to a little lighter shade all around. that is my personal preference.

To be honest.. why not post it in General Chat and start a poll on whether to tint all the same around or tint darker in rear and legal tint on front to see how many people like which idea and or which they have done .

Illinois has a law that none of the front windows can be tinted (it looks butt ugly on most cars). I have a friend that has driven around in a car that has a 35% and never gotten pulled over, maybe I will do the same. Just something so that ppl cant see whats goin on in the back, but light enough not to impair driving abilities.

you gotta go all round with it cuz its gotta look the same. i know some people who did a darker back and a lighter front and they wish they would have just done it all the same darkness. my friend has 5% on all his windows except the windshield (which has the bar across the top) and has only been pulled over once and the officer just told him to take it off but he never did and he hasnt had any problems with it other than that. one of my other friends though put 5% all around including the windshield and its funny because at night you have to literally sit 6 inches away from the windshield to see out. go with the the same % tint im sure you will be happier

I have tints on my car and the front windows are lighter than the front but if you look fast you can't tell the difference. But there are always the problems of the police questioning the tints.
