Will this work?

Clarification:

The HUD windshield doesn't have a 'film' on it. It'* laminated glass with a special layer in a wedge shape (thicker at the bottom than the top) to properly refract the green wavelengths back to the driver.

A non-HUD windshield will have 2 images reflected. One off the nearest (inside) surface and another slightly dimmer off the outside surface back at the driver. So you have a 'double ghosted' image, of lower intensity than you would from a proper HUD windshield.

There are some 'aftermarket' custom solutions available, none cheap, but cheaper than a HUD windshield.

I just purchased the HUD for my 95.

Well I wouldnt be interested in replacing my windshield. But If I do contact randy and maybe me and Bill happen to do the whole dash conversion, would it work? Would there be any major conflicts?

you will not be able to use the SSE/I gauge cluster....well you might but the you will have to make one connector into 2....its doable ive been looking at doing it w a 93 one....personally i would stick to the SE cluster....you dont have the ALM and the door trigger inputs, anlong with the cluster stores the Milage in the cluster, so the new that would go in would be off
