These devices come up as sponsored ads all the time. For instance, on the Honda Civic forum, the 'turbonator' electric supercharger/fan gimmick (that doesn't work and actually restricts your intake and it'* natural ability to breathe) shows up in ads all the time because Turbonator pays for the ad space.

You won't find a single person on the Civic forum that would buy the POS, and they bash it constantly. Nevertheless, the ad remains.

ever seen that screen on the front of ur throttle body? that is there to straiten (did i spell that right?) out the airflow. why would u want to twist the air just before it?

Many engines benefit from the twist...ours would suck if you disturbed the flow.

it helps for carbed engines.
