If you're completely stock, then I wouldn't go lower than a 3.4 pulley, with 180* thermostat, and a cold air intake. Also, modifying the exhaust before you swap pulleys out will also help a lot......Search the tech info link at the top of the page and check out the "First Mod'*" topic. Plenty of info in there

The 3.0 pulley requires alot of supporting mods. Before you go there, you'll need to learn ALOT. I suggest reading This thread.
Quite a few L67 owners have found that they can only run a 3.5 inch pulley safely while "stock".
But if you plan on doing a CAI, minor exhaust work, and PCM, you can easily get that down to a 3.3 or 3.4.
A scan tool works WONDERS tho, its almost a must have when buying a new car-lol

You may want to check out our performance packages which show what mods should go with what pulley sizes.

BTW, post some pics of your whip in Your Ride. Always nice to have another 00 start the modding adventure.

Hey Rich welcome to the club first off.
But you can't run a 3.0" pulley without risking serious damage to your motor. Even if you put it on your car your ignition will retard to the point where the 3.0 will perform worse then a much larger pulley.
May I reccomend a 3.5" or maybe a 3.4" but you have to make sure to free up your intake drop a colder thermostat in and 1 range colder spark plugs like Autolite 104s Or NGK tr6s. A rule of thumb when modding our cars is the only way to know what is safe on our cars is to scan with a scan tool; each car reacts alittle bit different to the same thing so only use our mods and advice to help interpet your scans & adjust acordingly.
Give the Intense site a look over like Rogue had mentioned
