what kind of oil do you use?
the world'* greatest oil means nothing without good filtering.
however, even the worst oil(of the proper weight/viscosity) still has to meet some decent standards. oil filters don't have such rigorous requirements.
which one is the Xtendedguard? as long as it'* not the caustic orange one or the one or two above that one, those aren't THAT bad..... but for the price, WIX(and it'* rebrands) and purolators are significantly better choices.

Ain't a dang thing wrong with Fram'* for use in regular motors. Now racing motors, well yea, I would go with something else.
I've used Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic 10w-30 for years, I considered Royal Purple recently, but decided to stick to what I have always used, I normally use Mobil 1 oil filters as well, but went with a Bosh Premium the last oil change, it was on sale and money was tight...
That Valvoline stuff is sold everywhere here. Must mean there'* a bunch of racecars running around!

I've run Castrol GTX ever since the car rolled of the assembly line. With 205,000 miles I have not had any issues. Perhaps I'm old school, but I prefer mineral based oil with frequent oil changes over synthetic oil with extended changes.
i dont know nick its only avail at Napa here so may be thats true lol..Funny it says not street legal on the bottle i thought hmm what are they gonna do pull me over and taste my oil? lol
