I did not put my 3.2 back on my car until i had no problems with the 3.4, even in 100 F I have 0KR all the time and high timing, I just put the 3.4 back on for the long trip, and I can feel, seriously FEEL the horsepower decrease, its insane..
Regardless, I have used my 605s with the 3.2, I also melted one spark plug a while back when my SC gasket leaked and i leaned out instantly, that was a close one.

Yes he is in need of better exhaust flow, there is enough going in that motor to require better flow coming out. I put headers on before I even considered droping a pulley size & I got a good bit of power from them with only a 3.4" on.

with a 3.3 and the 104s I have 0* of KR so far and 13.5/14.0* of timing.

This is at 80* outside temp. I will retest at 95* to see if the KR comes back up. So far the colder range plugs killed all the KR I had with the 3.3 which was rare but still happened at higher speeds.

Only thing exhaust wise is a 3" cat which gradually goes back to 2.5" with a custom made pipe.... The cat took about 2* of KR away, and the colder plugs seemed to fix the rest of it.

Plugs were obviously on the hot side, completely clean with no sign of any carbon at all on the white part. Looked brand new.

The only other variable is the high altitude. With a 3.2 I get a max of 9.8PSI of boost, with a 3.3 I get mid 9.1ish and a 3.4 I get high 8s. Stock pulley was around 6.5-7PSI. When I went to oregon last year I noticed a full 2 PSI jump on the boost gauge on my 93.
