Default went with the intense

just ordered my fwi from intense racing along with a 180* stat ....anyone know if the oring and gasket are needed along wit the stat? ordered them both either way ...Well the wait is now on ......3-5 days U.P.*. Express international , then the fun finally begins..

Where are you located? Just curious as Intense has SUPER fast shipping. I can order before 5pm on say like a Monday, and get it the next morning, but I only live 100 miles from their place.

I bet you get it within 3 days.

Up in Moncton, New Brunswick ,Canada although U.P.*. express claims to be pretty fast . todd allen (Intense sales) quoted me 3 to 5 days ..but I"ll see once i get my tracking # (it'* only going out tommorow morning)

I'm pretty sure all you need is the o-ring, but some rtv or silicone on the mating surfaces between the t-stat housing and LIM gives a little added protection.

Yep. T-stat o-ring, and t-stat housing gasket (sometimes not to referred to as that). I also dabbed some orange high temp rtv around the t-stat housing gasket to be safe.

well my shipment finally made it throug Canadian Customs and is now at a post office. hope I'll get it by Monday (don't know if they work on Saturday/Sunday) will a FWI cause any problems with a safety Inspection?(hopefully not)

I would think not. It doesn't hamper the safety in the vehicle in any way, shape, or form. If they ask, say you were looking for better fuel mileage lol but it'* none of their business.

that'* what i figured ... maybe a warrenty factor (Bumper to Bumper 2 year Extended)but if it is I could easily switch back to the stock ... Thanks 4 tha imput
