Default hood Scoops

has anyone found a scoop and cut their hood under it to add fresh air to the engine?? is this practical and good for performance?

This place here has some nice scoops. http://www.importzx.com/ I belive a few members have used them and made them funtional. I'm planning to get one this year and open my hood up to pull out hot air.

wonder if there'* a way to do it without the fiberglass pertruding all aroung the scoop so it'd look a lot cleaner ( refering to the installation page from importzx)

Don't rule out hood VENTS. Very little air would be collected by a scoop on the top of the hood.
