So I'll share it here now, instead of when it'* done.

My hood on the 93 needs to be repainted due to blistering and peeling of the clearcoat. Prime opportunity to install functional vents. I started looking for good donors about 3 months ago when the peeling started, and found some good candidates in the GTA Trans Am'* from the late 80'* and early 90'*.

I got several from Ebay in an effort to glean the best pieces from them with the intent of passing along the unused vents to a member here. When I'm done, I'll post the sets that are available.

I've figured out the layout of them already, and I'm going with a full set of 4. They should do wonders for underhood temps. When I'm done (these will be color-matched), I'll post pics and before/after temps. I'll also provide detailed drawings, dimensions, and pics.





Another member is working on something similar, but has chosen a different location for the two large vents than I did.

Now that is cool!

They'll be quite functional, and it'* nice to keep the vents in the family.

I think the leak was you Bill... in Hanks intro you mentioned morphing GTA parts into your car. I knew exactly from that what you were doing. Cause Geoff was doing the same.
