You got a 2.5" cat :?:

the exhaust shop refused to install the 2.5" i bought in since the DP diameter is 2.75...(according to them) I never looked at it in great detail on my 98...maybe the 00+ dp is smaller.

I ended up going with a 2.75 to 3" adapter on the DP side and a 3" to 2.5" adapter on the rear O2 side.

Thats the results that everyone hopes for. Happy to hear it worked out. By the way that car was spinning the tires when you left, I had a feeling it was gonna work good.

BTW, interesting tidtib. When we cut the downpipe on crash'* car, there were actually 3 pipes in one. The outside diameter may very well be 2.75, but by the time you get down to the inside pipe, you are at 2.5". The cat was a perfect fit.

I never cut mine..but noticed that the outside was pretty big while the inside pipe looked to be around 2" after it necked down.

My batteries were dead in my camera

but yea, the cat fit like it was meant to go there. The cat was cut of flush with the flange and the new cat fit inside perfectly. It was welded up and now runs great, pulls WAAAAYYYY harder then it did before
