I will re-quote today.

I used to offer the option of a ported and polished sc. But the more I talk to different reputable companies not invested in selling the product the more I found engineers laughing. That’* right laughing. Yes I sent the link to the page I sent all the math and they still laughed. "Yes there is a "gain", but at what cost and what power adder is required to create the gain??? Is it the power adder (cam or other change) that is making the difference or the SC?? Who has done independent tests??" (The sc builder/manufacture did tests and said the gain was negligible) I sent a link to the site again...”ok they understand the basic system, still it’* a pitch for a product not independently tested”. In the end the response that really explained the situation was “if your concern is cooler air reaching the piston cool the sc with a cryo or nitro unit and compare the two and you will see the difference is exactly the same or better and cheaper on the cryo end”. No this company does not sell cryo units.

Read the information on the sites about the porting and the info is correct all this does is provide cooler air by increasing the efficiency ‘stacking/inter-cooling) of the sc. The work in making this system must have been huge. But the gain can be had with a cryo unit or NX cooler. I think a better sc is in order.

Just like my ported throttle bodies. " How much hp do they give me" I am asked over and over. I quote flow because if you have a huge twin turbo set up and NOS your gain is going to be huge (the numbers quoted by other stores); but if you have a stock ride with a few mods your gain will be small. I don’t sell as many this way but I like my customers to be in the know.

Now if you have a sc 3.8 with plans for NOS and other big power adders and want a car that is insane then you can gain a "very slight" advantage with a properly tuned sc as long as you reprogram the computer use a bigger TB and buy a intercooler. Often a great advantage when competing with other exact cars on the track.

My opinion:
Why bother why not just get a twin screw and dump this fuzzy math.
Believe me if it was a good product I would be selling it and would have invested in it so I could undercut the competitions prices. Like I do with the manifold port, polish and ceramic coating.

My next project that I have been my mouth off about for a year or two now is the twin-screw adapter. Now that the computer can be done properly it will be worthwhile. I am sure I will be beat to the punch on this kit (I don’t home build the kits, I higher licensed professionals to do the work for me. This takes longer) but it will happen one way or another.

Read this for more.

I can also get you a Mercedes unit mentioned in the article if you are interested. I took these from another site and it was easier to download it to my site I will soon update it with the proper site. Very busy right now.

Found it.

The particular ported blower that we purchased has a bigger intake (hence the ported) that is smoothed out to make the airflow smoother (hence the polished), and the outlet is the same way, ported to make bigger, and polished to make flow smoother. I don't remember what else they do on the inside of the blower, but whatever that is is what makes it cooler (a lot cooler). The fact that the outlet is TWICE as big as the stock outlet is what makes it worth it to me, and the fact that the inlet is bigger allowing for a bigger TB, allowing for much more flow, and less work to make more boost, and since the outlet is ported to TWICE the original size there is less work to be done to get the air out, meaning less heat making the same boost, so the ported blower is doing its job. Obviously the gain is not as much as an Intercooler or other forms of cooling of the same type, but there is a gain. Like I said, the gain is 20-30 degrees cooler temps. An intercooler is 100+ degrees (some say up to 180 degrees). The Intercooler is 1200 whereas the blower is 550. So the intercooler is twice the price and does 3+ times the cooling. Which is a better deal, the IC, but the ported blower is not useless, and still helps, and gives the ability to run a little more boost, or a little more timing, and can help to lower KR.
