i've been searching all about the O2 widebands and other air/fuel and tuning devices and i came to myself with a question. if u dyno-tuned your car after every modification you did to it, would any of that stuff be neccessary? i mean i wouldnt dyno my car every time i did something cuz it would be too expensive but i would prolly do it every 2 or 3 mods which would make a significant difference. i was thinking of a few things i would like to get and came to myself with that conclussion that as long as i dyno-tune the car when i have a significant difference then i wont have to worry about any of that electronic tuning stuff, right? any input would be great....i just was wondering that today....thanx

What you will miss is the weather changes and "other" things.

If you are not comfortable tuning yourself and getting the gadgets and sensors to do all of that, then dyno tuning and letting the tuner know your plans, I'm sure they can set the car up very well and you won't need the goodies. However each car is different and does change with time. Direct tuning is the optimal way to go if you plan on squeezing each horsepower out of the motor.

thanx a lot man. that helps a lot. i mean i do love cars and im gonna have my associates degree in 2 more semesters in Automotive Technology. its just this wheelchair i just got in kinda slowed me down a bit. but i am such a perfectionist that i want it perfect. thats why i wanna dyno tune after i get the rockers, rods, and springs on. then come spring i plan on the intercooler and even smaller pulley. i'm sure its not hard to use the HPT but even if i do get really good at it will it still provide the same results as if i dyno tune?

keep in mind, the Dyno tune and a "Street tune" can yeild different results

and you have to be careful, if someone dosent know what there doing with a Tuner, you can really hurt the car
