Page 9-4-5, 93 FSM, Torque Rod Adjustment.
1. Support deck lid.
2. Insert tool J 39384-3 into hinge. (This one makes sure it doesn't pop back)
3. Insert tool * over ende of torque rod. (It'* a tube and a handle)
4. Adjust to one of three position for desired tension. To decrease the amount of effort needed to raise the lid, reposition end of torque rod in a notch closer to the rear of the car.
