There'* a couple of Transit Operators ( Bus Drivers) at work that have the FlowMasters and I've heard them on a couple of Pontiac V-8'* (400; 42
All of them had a 'hollow' sound. They probably all hauled ***, too.
flowmasters are good on the typical "flowmaster" car ie: 87-93 Mustang 5.0. thats about it. on a forced induction car, like SSEi'*, and my Mustang SVO (turbo 2.3) they're restricting, and to a point can even hurt performance. i have a MAC 3" exhaust on my SVO, and their muffler is almost the same design as the flowmaster. when i put the exhaust on, i went from 2.25" to 3". it made a difference, but a month later i went to a Dynomax. holy hell, that was a huge difference, but it was also a turbod car, so any increase is gonna be more than a NA car, or even an SSEi for that matter. anyways, go with what you want, i personally dont see a flowmaster sounding good on a bonneville, but i could be wrong, peace
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM i`ve run a few mufflers ....dynomax....ultaflow.....redline....flowmaster. ..to each his own...i go by what i like, how it perform`* and sound ...every muffler has to compete agaisnt another......so each will say mines better than the next...i just pick the one that works for me...after i R&D each one Thread
