"you mean like what we're all doin' for intake, but with turndown on the end to get it under the unibody?"

That is exactly what I mean Damerorder. A pipe that has a piece going into and behind the bumper. Then the filter would sit there.

m'kay, just went outside and looked, I think it would work, only you'd have to cut life saving metal out. Maybe shift the charcoal canister back an inch or so, but it should fit, need like 60* on the turndown, and i'd put a mesh cage loosly over the filter to keep it from getting hit with sticks and stuff.... and if you put a peice of metal to loosely push to air upwards with a RX filter.... Yeah, that'd be cool.

I am thinking about it. I will try with PVC and rubber interconnects for now. We will see how well it works.

I went to the hardware store today. It looks like it is possible. Just a lot of curves. Don't know how well this will work as the airflow will have too many bends. A mandrel bent pipe I think is the best way to go.

Timely topic for me as I took apart my air box last night on my 2000 SSEi to see how the air was routed. I didn't realize the PCM was in the airbox, presumably for cooling. When people go to CAI, what do they do with the PCM?

Mark I believe there is a bracket that they sell for the GTP. Look around the various web sites for it.

Under where my stock air filter box used to be there is a 5" diameter, 7" tall black tube. It holds fuel fumes at some point, I forget which, But any way, You need it. It'* in the way.
