hey guys is it worth making a bonneville sse automatic to stick (5speed) if it is will it make the car alot faster or will it be the same reaction time with the gas pedal because i was looking into it but i wanted more opinnions. it will cost me abut 1500 to 2500 depending on the transmition i get.

Depends on how good you are with a stick and a clutch.

For 1500, I might be interested. What year?

there is ALOT of factors that need to be considered.and there is gonna be tons of custom fabrication, let alone the PCM problem....its gonna be WAAAAY more that 1500-2500

I'm a pretty damn good fabricator and welder myself, and even with that, I'd be hard pressed to do that for 2500.

It might be tough. However if you are up to it...I for one would be interested in seeing you document your progress. Don't let the guys get you down. Take on the challenge!

WIth more Gears you can use smaller ones to achieve faster accelatation and also have a the final drive ratio still be a little higher letting you reach a higher top speed and when crusing you can get better MPG if you have have the RPM lower at speed

So the actual gearing depends a lot and also how good you are
