Question engine/trannie interchange?

I have a 1999 Buick LeSabre that needs a new engine and transmission.
My gf has a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville with major body/frame damage.

Can I take the engine &/or transmission from her Bonneville and put it in my LeSabre?

I believe the 95 has a series1 engine and the 99 is a series2.

In otherwords, no, the engines will not swap. You can make it work, but it would all have to be custom (wiring, possible engine mounts, PCM, firewall connector re-pin) and wouldn't be just a simple swap.
