TPS Throttle Enhancer? Too good to be true?
I was looking through the JEGS catalog, to my surprise, they're including more and more things for the Series 2 3800'*. One of them was the TPS Throttle Enchancer calibrators from Casper Electronics, it says "Fool the ECU" Is this like the ebay scams?
It reads...word for word.
Designed to optimize the critical throttle voltage signal sent to the ECU that dteremines the fuel delivery and the spark timing. Flat and even dead spots in the throttle position sensor are automatically corrected using this unit. Direct weather proof connections.
Complete BS or not BS but can be done for cheaper but not recommended?

I don't know anyone on this Forum running one. Does that tell you anything?
I don't have any direct experience with it, nor have I heard of any from anyone else.

Posted this before. The Enhancer simply gets the PCM/ECM into power enrichment at around 70% throttle or so. I have used one for several years, but I thought the original use was for turbo cars? It does have LED indicators on it so setting the idle voltage on the TPS is a snap. Just rotate the TPS until the green light comes on. The reason I mention the turbo engines is the boost isn't coupled as directly to engine rpm, so if it gets into a knock situation, you can back off the throttle a little to reduce boost but still keep it in PE mode to hopefully reduce or eliminate the knock. In this regard, it does work, but overall would seem to be a bandaid for a system out of balance or control. In my case, since my system wasn't designed for the turbocharger, it does provide a little flexibility, but eventually would like to eliminate the need. John Spina of Casper'* generally produces good quality stuff, for specific needs, and has been helpful in the past.
