Well, theoretically your top speed should be 156 mph at 6000 mph in 3rd gear, assuming you have the stock diameter tires. I don't think it will go faster in 4th gear because at 156mph the engine revs will drop to 4200 rpm and their won't be enough power with your set-up.
You would be wise to lower the front end an inch with some nice new coil over struts for stability over 140 mph.....and make sure your tires are rated for that speed.

I've gone 160 mph @ 5000 rpm in my old Firebird with the original 2.41 super highway gearset. That was after some mods and a drop kit and before I rebuilt the rearend and swapped in some steeper gears....no overdrive in an old 350 Turbohydramatic trani. Now it will only do 140 but it gets there much quicker.

Well I've gone 130+/- in my GP STE. It was at 5900rpm in 3rd gear (3.33:1 final drive, 1:1 3rd gear ratio, 225/60/16 tires if anyone wants to figure out how fast I was really going). I decided it was time to let off because my redline is 5500 and I didn't feel like letting it shift into OD just to completely ruin the 4th gear clutch. I know of someone who supposedly went 155mph in a car just like mine...he said it was well into 4th gear. The car felt very stable...but my dome lights mysteriously came on...I was confused.

Been in the SSEi to 115mph +/-, and I've ridden in the GTP at 125 NUMEROUS times...went 120 in it today...only took like 14 seconds to get there.

I would say around 160mph would be the limit in a stock geared SSEi. If you lengthen 3rd gear or shorten 4th I would imagine, assuming you have the mods to make enough power, that someone could do 170...but not with stock power levels.

Your 93 should be governed to 128mph (because of the stock rating on the tires, which was H, or 130 mph). You need to buy an aftermarket perfomance chip to remove the governer. I'm running the Jet Stage 2.

Everything you guys have mentioned is great, but remember to get quality tires as well. Something designed to handle the high speed runs. :?

Thats crazy fast by the way willwren. Mine doesn't feel very stable even at 100, I can't imagine another fifty miles an hour. Scary.
