Are these another joke or do they work?

they should have the PA PCM figured out soon, http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=88533

in the mean time, there are plenty of items you can get to start modding!

Don't forget that your 97 Park Avenue is the same chasis as the 2000 and up Bonnevilles so many things should just bolt right up.

Yup. It'* back at INTENSE right now. They're trying to trck down a code that was causing it to shift at max line pressure. They started off with the same tables they use for the 00+ SSEi, and there'* a difference somewhere in the code for the trans. Once they track that down, they should have a Standard PCM ready for the Ultras.

If yours is N/A, I don't think they've had a crack at those yet, so you'd want to call them.

The only major differences in mechanicals between his 97 and the 00+ Bonnie are the front trans mount, oil pan(SSEi is cast, mine is stamped), and spring/swaybar rates.
The front trans mount on the 97 is like mine, a squre chunk of rubber with a bolt through it. However, it can be easily swapped out for the 00+ hydraulic mount, or to a hockey puck mount, provided he gets the bracket for the hydraulic moount.

Is there an engine that thing isn't compatible with? This does look better, however, than the standard eBay resistor coated in heatshrink.

What a money saver your Tempo is!
I just don't know what those 2 wires going in & out could possibly do well enough. If it had some more wires, I'd be more interested. Could still be a resistor!
