Taylor wires, mine suk 2

Based on the following e-mail, Brian Marks appears to be the head honcho at PFYC:
"Hi Mark:
I want to add to what Allen said. The main thing that is important here
is that almost every retailer like ourselves has the same procedure for
handling warranty problems with products that the retailer buys from a
manufacturer. If we had sold you a set of wires that we made (or had
made for us) in house, we'd have handled them directly. In this case,
since Taylor is the manufacturer, they would handle any problems since
they have the facilities and manpower to do so. I hope this clarifies
it. We certainly always want to help you as much as possible, however
it is not possible for anyone at our warehouse to help in any way with
spark plug wires. They can only ship and receive brand new items back
as returns.
I am also very sorry that there was any misunderstanding or
miscommunication about how this would be handled. If we are responsible
for any of that, please do accept my apologies. I hate that you ended
up not being sure of the procedure for so long, and we will work with
our staff to make sure that these things are more clear to people in the
future.
I hope you can get this all straightened out in a hurry and please let
us know if you need ANYTHING at all, okay?
Thank you very much."
And this from Taylor:
"PFYC is not a company that buys direct from us and they are responsible for the warranty. This item will be warranted with a replacement as soon as QC verifies your findings, which is the same day that it arrives here at the factory. If the customer service representative at PFYC has any questions have them contact me personally here at Taylor via email or the phone number listed below and I will assist them in the return. We stand behind our wires whenever there is a manufacturing problem.
Thank you for choosing Taylor,

All very frustrating especially when shipping is considered, the Tayor wires are double the cost of the Belden wires.
Will, all of my correspondence with PFYC has been via e-mail so I don't have a phone #.

To be fair to PFYC, they have stepped up to the plate and instructed me to fill out a Return Authorization form.
Interestingly though, one part of their site says that no electrical or electronic part can be returned, period. The return section, though, says that electrical parts aren't returnable unless they are defective upon receipt.

I have had a set of MSD wires on my Bonneville for a few months now and all is good so far. I would honestly put a set on my Malibu since it is getting close to 100,000kms on my 03, but they are red and I don't want red on that car. I thought Taylor was good but I guess not.
I will have to look around at other brands before I get a set for the Malibu.
