Taylor wires, mine suk 2

An update from PFYC regarding my Taylor wires:
"Hi Mark:
Taylor warranties the wires directly as far as I know. We have not
heard of many people with issues on them, so either the thread is being
hyped by a few people who have, or people are buying them elsewhere, or
people just aren't telling us of the problems."
And
"Hello Mark,
We have no way of repairing or correcting wires with problems. The
factory warranty will be totally handled by Taylor."
Sweet, huh? Be forewarned about Taylor wires and as far as I'm concerned, about PFYC.

I got the same runaround from PFYC the first time. Taylor tech support was much more helpful.
So I'm being accused of possibly hyping the problem? Nice to know. I hope PFYC is reading this.
I think PFYC may need to re-think their customer support strategy VERY soon.

I heard back from them last night saying that this is an electrical item and their return policy states that no electrical item can be returned. This isn't an entirely unreasonable response since most auto parts stores have a similar policy. However, I did take them to task for putting me on hold for 3 weeks while they "looked into it" and then never got back to me.
On to Taylor themselves.

Talk about being in Catch 22 land. Taylor says that PFYC is not someone with whom they deal directly and that the warranty is through PFYC. That said, Taylor seems to be saying to send the wires back and they will assess them.
Fair warning to those considering purchasing through PFYC. I don't like to flame someone like this but I have to say that I don't ever remember having to deal with something like this.

Mark, can you post some of this correspondence here? Is it email format?
I take the vendor issue VERY seriously around here. It'* a personal crusade. From what I've heard already, I'm already forming my own conclusions. Regardless of the good price at PFYC (www.grandprixstore.com), and the fact that the current Taylor situation may just be a 'phase' they're going through, I seriously doubt I'll be using this combination of vendor/manufacturer in the future.
Also, can you PM me the contacts at each location? Taylor and PFYC? Names and phone numbers. We might be able to team up on this to a succesful conclusion.
