Change the oil. Just remove the plug, then use something to suck the old oil out, it stinks real bad. Then add Mobil1 5w30 synthetic oil, should be about 8oz.

Changing the oil and replacing the couplers is about the only thing you need to do. Dan will change his supercharger oil when he changes the engine oil. GM has authorized the use of 5W-30 synthetic engine oil in lieu of the expensive GM supercharger oil. When you buy a 5qt jug of synthetic, you can use that last 1/2 quart to change the oil in your supercharger.

Couplers? When you take the belt off the supercharger, grab the pulley and rotate it back and forth. Does it seem to spin 1/8" in either direction before it feels like the rotors start moving? Bad couplers. About $25 for a set.

That'* about it.

I think you should be fine. If you can get your hands on a medicine syringe(without the needle) and attach a piece of aquarium tubing to it, you can suck out most of the oil out of the supercharger. Just fill it till it gets to the bottom of the fill hole.

Really nothing you can mess up, unless you forget to put the oil back in.

If you don't have a syringe handy, you can use the spray trigger from an empty Windex bottle or similar, and spray the oil into the empty bottle.

You would have to connect a 3/8 flexible hose to the tip of it. Baster won't reach all the way down to the bottom of the snout.

well your charger has oil in it that need to be changed every 30000 there is a allen key plug on the top that you take off and useing a vacume of a sort you suck out the old oil and add the new oil its 11$ a 4oz bottel from gm. thats basic if you want to dig deeper you need to buy a upper intake gasket for around 8 bucks and some high tep rtv gasket sealer take the sc. off the engine and unbolt the nose cone or snout it around ten or so bolts then take a block of wood and tap it with a hamer a few times it should come apart inside there a clupler that turnes the splines or roters you should replace the clupler i got one for 15 dollars at a local parts store just pop off the old one and put the new one in. you can take out the roter packs in the back of the sc. there are two berrings use high tep greese and cover them then clean up the rest with a rag and bolt it back togher then insted of buying a new supercharger you just rebilt your own for about 40 dollars i hope this helps
