In a nutshell, the most economical and easy solution is to sell yours and buy an SSEi.

The second best is to do a full swap. Transmission, axles, PCM, engine, and wiring harness.

The least economical and least 'daily driver' is to do a top swap. This would include cylinder heads, LIM, SC, accessory bracketry, etc. And the trans would not last.

Jared, who used to live near you with a 2000SLE swapped the engine/trans/pcm from a supercharged w-body for around $1500 and did his own labor. To have a shop do a motor and trans shop, figure in $1000 labor.

However the other odds and ends for the swap were a bit more. Figure around $3000 if you have someone do it for you. For that you could sell your car and get an SSEi which have a lot more goodies like heads up display and heated seats.

I don't care what ANYONE says!!!!! If you want a supercharger-the easiest way (if you do the work yourself, and get parts cheap) do a top swap!!!!

Ed Morad is the place for the all the parts, and if you have someone do it for you $350-$400 is resonable. Total of about $1300 or so. The 4T65'* can "normally" handle more than they're rated for. Its mainly how stupid the driver is after they add so much power.

To say the non-hd won't last is kinda....um.......stupid???? The only difference is the diff, and gearing. hard parts are otherwise identical. And you can upgrade that for a few hundred.....

Need I say DBTK2 car???? Granted a GP, but low 12s on a stock non-HD trans.

And how long will that top end swap work with a non-HD trans in a daily driver?

Why did they put an HD under the L67 and not the L36?

Because of the low-end torque. Hogwash my ***, why didn't you do the top swap yourself, Jared, instead of the proper way you did it with a full swap?
