I've heard and seen them in many different applications. From Camaros and Corvettes to Jeeps. I think there is a little extra lag due to the distance of the Turbo from the motor though.

I dunno for what it would take to supercharge an SE you could get there system and probably beat an SSEi. Also I contacted them today about a kit for a 2000 SE the guy said he will look into what they could do and call me back sounds promising.

Might be true, but even so, you will still have transmission issues to deal with from the added power. So that will negate any cost saved. Going turbo isnt something many have done though around here, so I say if you want to, then go for it. There is already a turbo kit available for the W-bodies though, and Im sure It could be adapted to fit a Bonneville.

There is a member here with a GXP who is planning on installing one of these, mostly because he doesnt have any other options for serious mods besides NOS. Not sure how he plans on modifying the computer, but thats a problem for him, and not a problem for you.

You shouldn't have many problems with the STS remote kit. Aside from having to pull the LD8 to run the piping it isn't that bad. I was thinking about it untill i found out it was a generic kit. and the install time is between 10 and 18 hours depending on shops experience.

A friend of mine has an 02 camaro with a built ls6. He originally ran a procharger then replaced it with the sts kit. He made over 600hp with it.

I take back what I said earlier about your transmission. I skimmed through your sig too fast and thought it said SE for some reason. Im not sure what your expected power gains would be, but for the same amount of money you might be able to just mod the SSEi to achieve the same results, but I understand the want to be different.

Intense used to sell the STS kits, and they have been installed on a few L36 Grand Prixs. Do a little browsing on 3800Pro and ClubGP and you'll find some threads about them. IIRC, they can easily put an L36 GP into the 14s.
