As my defense, that is my second time welding, ever. Self-taught and didn't have any shielding gas. Just flux core wire. I think the gas may have helped make it look less crappy, but I'm just a newbie at this stuff.

If you want to learn more about welding and all the different techniques, go to the Lincoln Wleding website. They have technical documents for welding almost everything, including motorsports applications. Welding takes lots of practice; it took me a very looong time.

If puddling is what I think it is(make a blob and just drag from that) then yes. I did to the best of my ability. By the end of the little project they started looking a little better....

I'll have to keep an eye on everything... hopefully I won't lose an exhaust hanger while on the road :?. If it gets a lot louder all the sudden, I guess I'll know why. What are the chances the welds will be fine and last a long time?

looks like the exhaust on a Mini Cooper! NIce job! Everybody needs to learn to weld sometime, not bad without gas and it being your second time
