Do you have any pics from directly under the car? Did you run the pipe directly under the middle of the gas tank, or did you use the existing exhaust channel?

Well, we did it.
Full 2.5" exhaust, straight shot from the cat to the rear bumper (with a minor upward angle, as you'll see). Used a Magnaflow round muffler/resonator, and ended up having to slap a straight flow cherry bomb on there as well to cut the decibel level a bit. I'm liking the sound, and I think we chose a configuration that nobody else has done here. More importantly, I absolutely think the car feels stronger, especially in the top end. Check out the pics of the install, as well as the video of the final product. My crappy video capability doesn't do it justice, but you may still like it.
