Default stepping up.

Im lookin on adding a supercharger to my 93 bonne SE. all i was told i needed to do for the switch is remove the intake and add the supercharger. the problem im having with this is that when i look at a picture of a 93 SSEi'* engine, the altenantor is in a totally different place. anybody know what are all the mods i need to make to get my car to where it needs to be? thanks

There is much more involved than you may think.

IF you used your lower end, which is not rated for the torque etc created by a charger (highly not recommended), you would need all the brackets from the front of the motor (the alt bracket is a big ole pain) the LIM, SC, TB all related sensors, different PCM, and somehow wiring up the control to the bypass valve on the SC.

You will hear and see it mentioned many times.. it'* probably less costly to get the right motor and swap or sell and buy a different car that has the motor. Although that is sometimes not an option.

Harmonic balancer
Both axles
Accessory bracket
Supercharger with BCS and BCA
Lower intake manifold
Pistons, rods, and wristpins
Transmission
PCM
Engine wiring harness
Fuel pump
Fuel rail
Fuel injectors

These are all the things that need to be changed. Sell your SE and buy an SSEi. You will get the better steering rack, better suspension, better climate control, better stereo, heads up display, better seats, and a sunroof.

That is the most cost-effective and reliable long-term option.

Please add a throttle body to WillWren'* list, then you have a very complete and comprehensive list minus gaskets etc.
