well im not sure about this...but i heard it from a mechanic at a coffee shop i happen to run into and he said there was a internal and external cam sensor on the car and that if hte internal one or external one happen to get flawed by any bit it could change how your sending unit is working as well as gas consumption and a few other things. He also claimed it wont always throw off the code if its just the internal one that went out.........but like i say i dont know how much to hold to this statement...its jsut somehting i heard and im relaying it out to you guys

Oil Pressure Problem
Problem Solved....
Bad Sending unit.. replaced it and pressure now reads 50 PSI at idle cold and 45 HOT.... Under acceleration goes up to 60PSI..... Much Better and a load off my mind. Total Cost 17 Bucks.
Easy to Change...
remove right front wheel and its right there above and behind the Oil Filter...

SSEI oil pressure
Yesterday i got my oil and filter changed w/ a ac delco. Now at idle my oil pressure is at 40-50 and when i step on the gas it'* at 50-60 keep in mind it was 20 at idle and 30-40 when driving. If you haven't gotten you filter changed in a little while that'* probably what'* wrong. If not then it'* probably the senders.

about 3 months ago i had my oil pump gasket replaced ( or thats what the mechanic told me.) and i watched a nearly 20 psi jump, before that my psi always droped into the red at idle once the engine was warm, sometimes the check gauges light even came on. Now it only drops a hair below 40, and for about 1500 miles after eachoil change, it stays at least 50 or so... getting a nother change in 400 miles, going to use a k'n this time.. see how it works. and report the cahnge.
