--- my Alternator goes ****-UP!

I was on the freeway going home for my split shift and everything got SLO-MO.
I shut everything off except the wipers and bailed out to surface streets.
The car started losing power.
8 volts...!
****-oh-dear.
I actually made it a couple of miles through backstreets to the Walt'* Muffler Shop I'm going to this week for the exhaust work. LUCKY ME.
He let me use the phone to call the Allstate Motor Club and get the car towed to the Dealership I just had the car at for the ABS light problem a couple of weeks ago under the extended warranty.
It worked again~~~!
The alternator was replaced --- $50.00 deductible. Not too shabby.

Also had the 'gross' coolant changed.
It was only good to +15 degrees F !!!
They had to do a Double Flush it was so bad. The super-duper flush with whatever magic additive came to $99.95 --- what a bargain.

Now I've got power and I'm cool :P
