1-2 degrees tells you that you pushed as far with the pulley diameter as you could. Zero is ideal, but you have to have some indication of where the limit is.

Spring KR will be less than summer KR. Don't forget that. Ambient temps will have a BIG role in KR. They can turn 1-2 degrees in spring to a devastating 6-7 degrees in summer.

Is the car a daily driver, or a toy?

Here'* some more info for you:

another thing, KR if coming form something like Exhaust manifold leak, then Air temp doesn't change it much.
i found that out with my KR.
when it got colder my KR did not really go down. one thing that did help knock down my KR... was Gaping my plugs to .055

Wow, these links are really helping me to put this all together.

And yes the car is an everyday driver, but i drive it like a toy?!?!?!?
I have a buddy who is coming back from Wyotech in a few months, hopefully he can be around to help me perform this mod.

Out of cams, headers and other exhaust perfromance parts which would be the most beneficial to invest in???

first Pulley and having no KR. that , at first will make the biggest difference.

Header'*, no need for them on a S1. (others will explain)

Cam, Not for a long time if ever..

thees many self mod things you can do to a S1, But no a lot of ( OOooOO looky a shiny part on a website, Buy Buy buy) Type of parts

I says lets first work on your pulley and any KR you may get.

Alright, thanks for the help guys.
I now at least have an idea of some things I need to look out for and some info on a mod that will be worth my while. (hopefully)
