I figure the 6T70 will bolt up to a 3800, so that'* out of the way. Would have to figure out the torque converter and like what stall RPM would be best. ECM/PCM tranny codes would be deleted and the tranny would be run with a standalone controller.

The ratings are higher, and the 6T75 is used in the big, heavy Lambda vehicles (Acadia, Outlook, Enclave) and they're rating to tow 4k lbs I believe. I don't think you'd be able to easily blow one up

Like the previous post said... if it were an everyday vehicle, I wouldn't want a manual 6. I wouldn't mind a auto 6 w/ paddle shift, however. If I were supplied with some sort of auto to drive around when I'm in citys like Baltimore with the hills.. then I'd be all for the manual.

hey guys that want manual trans...... the torque handle is only 295lbft!!!!!!! much less than your 4T65'*..... if you are wanting to add power to your car or if you have a tire melter already, you may need a severly beefed F40.

I will be evaluating the F40'* power handling capabilities. I'm not sure what the rating was, but take the Getrag 282 used in Fieros...guys are putting them up to SBCs, N**, nasty L67s, and they take it, though I have heard of a modded SBC blowing the casing apart.

Some hard use along with oil lab testing will prove if the F40 is a good candidate for a swap, If it fails I can at least say I tried

I get perfect shifts everytime Also the fastest on the road, damn smooth as well...

GM has consistently been late to the tranny party (no, please don't go there lol) and needs to get something new out there. The 6 sp manual FWD is nice starting point, but these days, a CVT, sequential, dual clutch, etc is available on almost every car out there..

Which engines & bodies would this kit be developed for is my only questions

I had already been considering swapping a LS4 into my 90 lesabre, if a 6 speed auto would bolt to that
