Default Silicone reducer for my 93SSEi

Hi Folks,
Hope you can chime in on this.
I am about to excercise the Mastercard a bit by ordering what I need for my performance intake.

Here is my shopping list, and below is where I need some help:
Spectre Pipe# 8219
K&N Filter# RX-4750
Spectre Heat Shield# 8128
Silicone reducer: What is the size I will need to fit my '93 SSEi??

Is it true the one that comes with 8219 will fit?

If someone could please confirm, I would appreciate it. And, if someone could pass along some dims on where I need to cut 8219 to fit, that would be great. Keep in mind, I have the dual W/Washer bottle for the headlights.

Yes, pics will come!
Thanks in advance,
Adam

For the life of me, I can't remember if it'* 3.25 or 3.5, or what I had on the Zilla before the swap.

This topic has the measurements, far right column. A 3.25" might be snug, 3.5" might have to clamp down a bit.

Hi Will,
As always, thanks for the super quick response!
Other than that, did my shopping list of parts look okay?

Thanks again,
Adam

I don't run the Spectre (mine is a custom-fit pipe) so I assume it'* 3". Buy your filter from www.ajusa.com they have the best price by far.

Can you post pics or links to the heat shield and pipe?

Yes, I will absolutely post some pics when I receive the parts.
The Spectre shield should fit the RX-4750 no problem.
I will also be sure to place the filter as close to the headlight as possible.

They no longer make the 8128 shield, however if you call around, some dealers may have some on the shelf.

3" to 3" Gradual 45* Bend.

That is what I use, I still need to re-design my rice pip so it does not hit the compressor.

You must under all circumstances shield the filter from the radiator and other engine bay heat, its a must or your car will overheat in the summer

Ah,
Here is a link to a post provided by dbeast that outlined the Spectre parts to be used.
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ghlight=intake

This post was for a '99, but I was told it will fit the '93 as long as you use the right reducer.

Regards,
Adam
