I'm wondering if its possible to use valve springs, roller rockers, hydraulic roller lifters, pushrods, valves and the timing chain setup from intense on a Series 1 motor (1995 supercharged)

Any answers are much appreciated.

No intense parts will work they are all for Series 2. There are Series 1 parts out there they are just in Aussie land :?

Not even a valve spring :?

I find that odd since we can use LS6 valve springs in the series two, but the series one wont accept series two springs even though they have more similiarities than those of the LS6 and 3800..... Strange..

Okay, does anyone know off the top of their head the dimensions of the valvesprings, valves and rocker arms for a series one?

Im asking this because my engine is due for a valve job as it ticks alot now at idle

i talked to a former member about this a while back and i dont know the stock spring dimensions but i do know that they are 85# springs and the small block chevy springs will directly replace them and the small block chevy springs are 110#, this would eliminate valve float in the high rpms for ya

I thought i heard before that springs from a small block chevy could be directly swapped, and personally im not a fan of valve float, or high rpms for that matter, especially on a series 1. but still, i want the least bit of valve float from 3500-5500 rpm as possible

Fun times come when your springs get so weak that you get so much valve float that your piston actually comes up faster than the valve can close... thats always a happy day!
