The 4T60-E is an excellent transmission, trust me, mine has a shift kit installed (custom) and its amazing, it doesnt spend anytime hunting for gear position.
The harder shifts are the clutches being applied with alot more force, they lock together and there is VERY little slip, especially under hard throttle, which is were the clutches like to slip the most.

TransGo 4T60E Jr kit is what you want. But the 4T60 kits aren't a self-install. Hire a shop to do it.

the Shift will actually help your trans because the harder shifts, are actually better on the trans than long sloppy gutless ones
I'm screwed.
