Default Saw a shift kit from INTENSE and wonder...

if the street/strip is a marketing hype or is it actually developed for the street and the strip. I'm interested in upgrading my tranny slightly, the shifts are fine but they could be better. I'm wondering if they offer any performance gains such as quicker off the line than the stocker and will it prolong the tranny'* life? It claims it will prolong the tranny but, anyone run them, could they vouch for it?

P.*. I couldn't find in TECHINFO what kind of tranny I'm running, I'm sure it'* listed in my owner manual, I'll have to look at it.

YES! I was fearing that I had the 4T60E, because the shift kit doesn't work with that. Pat, you just answered my one of my questions, I guess you can't comment on the other questions either because you don't know or don't have the shift kit of some kind. Right?

the Shift will actually help your trans because the harder shifts, are actually better on the trans than long sloppy gutless ones

depends what part of the trans you are talking about...shifting will cause the same amount of stress, you are just changing where the stress goes.

A shiftkit will help save the clutches once you start manking some good power.

Let'* not perpetuate the myth that the 4T60E isn't supported with a good aftermarket. If that were true, my trans wouldn't exist, and neither would Matt'*. That would make me very sad.

Less wear and tear on the clutches, more wear and tear on the output side (diff, shafts, etc).

ZZPerformance does build up 4T60E'* also... You can get everthing that you can for a 65. What trans do you think is in Zooomer'* GF'* 12.6 E.T. N/A GT? It sure isn't a 4T65!
