Default Rockers are installed....vrooom!

#105 springs, oil restricted push rods, titanium retainers, gen 3 1.9 rockers. There are several write ups for gtp'* and they're real close with only 2 differances. We dont have to remove the coil pack up front (yay) and the back set we have to loosen the alternator bracket, they dont. The back as you can imagine are harder to get to, removing the top maf sensor bracket and loosening the egr bracket helps alot.
The 105 springs are about a third longer, so really have to compress the $hit out of them to get enough clearence for the valve locks when installing.
I didnt have the spark plug compressor fitting so I used a 5' long piece of 5/16 nylon rope (clean) and stuffed the cylinder, then used a 24mm wrench to turn the crank untill it locked the valves (worked really well in my opinion).
A magnet helps in removing the valve locks but you need nimble fingers to install, prolly the slowest process of all.
I torqued the rockers to 25 ft/lbs as per 'big jeffs' instructions and used gm thread locker.
Glad I got the new valve cover gaskets as I had a dead spot above the #6 cylinder (heat?).
And yes I painted the tops red with left over caliper paint, they look pretty

Now to go out and test the waters

You have to loosen the alternator brackets on both the SSEi and GTP IIRC. It is actually easier to do rockers on an SSEi because there is A LOT less stuff to remove in the front. You have to unbolt the passenger side motor mount, which has like fifty million bolts and the coils and a few other things on the GTP, whereas on the SSEi you don't. But basically its a pretty simple and straightforward job. Not nearly as difficult as the cam I just put in my car...that was a pain in the a$$...should be worth it though.

Anyways, enjoy the rockers. Go out on the highway and put your foot in it. After you do that, your face will look like this: . Enjoy!

Nice cool air tonight, about 60

Yeah about 3500 rpm and on you can really feel it, pulls hard all the way to 6k,which is about 100 in 2nd gear
Then a nice hard shift into 3rd and it keeps on pulling, need that lsd in a big way now
