Congrats P-dad, knew you'd like them, the 6K shifts are so nice. Hope P-mom kicks some butt at the track soon!

I also had to remove my Alternator for clearance. I didn't get retainers or clips either. But did have to "borrow" 2 clips that were dropped and never found in the grass off a Fellow GTP members stage 3 heads just sitting in the garage.

I considered a cam, but the cost of install and fear of tranny breakage, held me back for the time being. Very happy with my rockers though.

I know you definately have to loosen it up on the Series II L67, because the valve cover won't clear it otherwise. However, on the Series I you probably don't have to because the alternator is located in a little bit different spot.

you could save alot of money by not buying those extraneous parts and doing the install on concrete, or putting something underneath the car. We have a little magnetic wand that we use to pick up dropped bolts.

That'* just the thing Shawn, I didn't have to remove or move anything other than the MAF sensor holding bracket. Magic? ... I hope not.

The 00+ have an improved alternator mount which partially covers the rear valve cover. This needs to be moved over in order to get the rear valve cover off. If it goes over to far, the coolant elbows pull out and dump coolant all over.
