Not sure if this helps or not, but I found out that my 97 takes the same brake pads as a 97 Firebird. Also the 97 Firebird uses rear disc brakes. :?
Again, not sure if it mean'* anything.... it probably doesn't.

This did change in 98 though, so Im thinking its probably a 93-97 F-body that uses the same setup as the Bonneville.
The rear setup on a F-body of that era might also be something to look into, you never know.

Finally got a chance to take some pics today, Im sorry it took so long. Didnt take any measurements, but I can if asked, but it might take a while, ive been busy lately and havent had much time to mess with the car.
On to the pics.
This is the backside of the knuckle, you can see that the knuckle is supported on the bottom by the trailing arm, another arm on each side with a bolt that runs all the way thruogh both arms and the knuckle, and then what is essentially the strut on the top.
Another shot of the top part of the knuckle, two bolts that attach to a bracket on the strut, in the very bottom of this pic you can see where the hub and the knuckle attach.
Here you can see the bracket that the knuckle attaches too, it basically looks like it may be welded to the strut casing or something, the top bracket where my swaybar endlinks attach too is held on in a similar fashion.
Not the greatest shot, but you can see a little bit of where the caliper bolts to the caliper bracket.
I can take more pics and measure whatever, but like I said, dont expect instant results.

I did the same poking around at RockAuto you did Merlin, and much to my surprise the 97 Firebird uses the same pads, calipers, and even rotors as the Bonneville.
This is encouraging... We may be able to use F body caliper mounts on our hubs, with larger rotors as well...
