3" conduit won't have directed flow unless you're 3" all the way down. I can't get 3" flex through the headlight brace hole. 3" would also be in the way of the coil packs and oil fill cap.
The rubber gasket under the rear hood edge can be trimmed at the outside edges, and some in the center. I've been looking at that for about a year for that purpose. I intend to do just that, and replace it later if I need to, or simply put those pieces back in.

I think that would help out along with the mod to evacute even more heat out of the engine bay along with your "ram air" cooling ... alot more air being forced into engine bay ... .... hood venting also has some aerodynamic value on FWD cars in particular the air pulled out from under the hood (and some that would normally go under the car) channeled over the car... sort of a cheap vacuum effect on the nose ... engine bays with poor air evacuation suffer from "ballooning" of the nose at high speeds... just a thought
you'll prolly see a lil bit of improvement out of that but it'* the process of supercharger that makes the most heat.. I think what ever 10-15 degrees cooler the TB might get will be lost after it'* heated in the */C
however any improvement for $10 is damn good compared to how much the after coolers cost.

I think you're winning the heat battle, but I'm catching up
I may re-paint that duct. Thinking the cast-metal looking paint I used on my SC cover. Might be more subtle that way?
