MAF screen
I'm not pulling mine out just yet. I'm leaving it in cause anything from my IAT hole enlargening comes out, but i'm wondering what'* the difference like?
I have the smooth mandrel bent aluminum intake, 3" diameter, and the K&N X-stream filter. I'll probably remove the MAF once it'* about 50* F. Will it make it even louder? Is it really noticable in power increase on N/A?

I had mine out for a bit, car didnt like it, put it back in. Just be sure if you DO pull it out that you either order a replacement or dont mess it up getting out (not an easy thing to do as its very brittle)
Mine wasn't happy with the gutted stock airbox and drop-in K&N. After the custom intake was on for awhile, I pulled it again, and had a good strong idle within 10 miutes. I still run without it. It is fairly restrictive as well, especially for the SC cars.
When you move more air than a DC-10 Turbine, no kidding.
The MAF screen is actually somewhat restrictive, so if you CAN pull it (have a smooth walled custome intake) there is some benefit to be had.

I pulled mine last summer and didn't have any ill effects. I actually have it in now because I put my stock airbox back on in November, and now with the intake it doesn't feel like it used to without the screen. I'll be taking it off once the snow is gone.....for good. Comes off pretty easily. I just used the tip of an exacto knife to pry the ring out. Then the screen was easy after that.
