Default Question on used HP tuners

I have a quick question, Almost bought HP tuners a month or so ago, but had some big expenses come up so had to put it on hold. I found a used one for sale but I am wondering if he is asking too much.

Is $200 for HP tuners standard version with 0 credits on it too much?

I talked to the guy and told him the 8 credits on a new one are worth $400 so his software and interface is really only worth $100. I told him I would give him $150 but he won't take it. .he said he won't take any less than $200

I guess if I am only going to tune my Bonne it would cost me $300 all together then..but I just don't know if it is worth spending $300 to tune one car.

I don't have $500 to spend on a new one right now either so I have been keeping my eye out for used ones and they are hard to come by, and found this guy selling his but I'm not sure if I should buy it or not.

Thanks.

Not worth it in my opinion. If it were MPVI, it would be worthwhile...not standard though.

Hang on a second here. What cars did he unlock? In my opinion $200 plus another $100 is worth while. Offer him $175. Right now you think I'm only tuning one car, but that may, and very well could change later on.

Offered him $180 and he said No...

Still waiting to find out what vehicles are unlocked on it...not that it will do me any good in my opinion.

People want way too much for these things used... They are only worth as much as the credits on them, and if there are no credits it really isn't worth more than $100-$150 IMO

The ones that do have credits sell within hours of being listed for sale on sites, so it looks like I might just have to wait it out until I can afford to drop $500 on it

There'* always a chance your car is unlocked. My HPT has 16 used credits and 3 unused. Unlocked years have a lot of value.

Well he must have sold it, since it is no longer listed.

Guess I will keep my eye out for another one. If anyone sees one I would be very appreciative if you informed me of it!

Thanks guys.
