i think its the front that need porting...not sure.

When we did Taylor'* headers I remember looking at the front manifold...ACK! Needs major porting.
Don't remember the rears, but again the guy I know didn't bother with the rear (but he'* lazy like me).

you might want to wrap them while you have them off. It makes a big difference in underhood temps.

Look in the rear one if you take it off. You'll see the individual pipes extend about 1" past the welds into the rear manifold. I'd say the interrupt the flow from the crossover.

I have a stock set of manifold for sale from a Bonny 1998 SSEI if anybody want to do some experimentations...

If you have a air compressor, buy a cheap die grinder and a carbide bur. It will hog all that metal out and there are alot of attachments to make the surface mirror smooth. Like a diamond polisher. These are not big investments. A Demel tool would work if you have the time. They make carbide burs for those as well.This is not a expensive thing to do .No I haven't done this yet. I work on plastic molds that make BMW parts.

They both were just as bad Kyle, up to you if you want to port. Might want to pick up an extra set and take your time with them, maybe even send them to JET HOT for some coating, still will be cheepier than TOG/SLP job.

OR bite the bullet and save up for some real headers! just think 13'* all the time
