Greeting to all, I am finally ( I have admired them for years) purchasing a Silver 2002 Bonnie SLE tomorrow for the wife and selling her 1997 Grand Prix Se. I am leaving the GPClub and joining the Bonneville club. I find these forums very helpful when facing auto issues. If there is anything I need to know about the 2002 please fill me in. Thanks

Welcome to the club brumay
Other than the standard checks when purchasing a used automobile, I would suggest looking at all electronics and controls. See that all windows work, and drive over a few speed bumps while test driving, listen for clunks and groans.

Yea, and put it through hell. Run through all the gears and turn it sharply in a empty lot, etc...

Thanks for the welcome. I am finding out that even though the car is for my wife it is really my favorite not her'* . I hope she learns to love it as I know I will . Are there any ladies out there who love their Bonneville enough to share some comments for my wife. I know she will listen to the ladies. :P Thanks

Ladies? We got PLENTY! You should have your wife join and hang out with them. We have several lady bonneville owners. PontiacMom and Tamara both drive the same generation as you.
Welcome!
