Got my ceramic coated and PEM'*. These things are gonna rock!!!!
My only concern is that he coated the surface that is supposed to be smooth to seal up to the heads. Another minor one is that he coated the inside of the mani'* too. :? Is that gonna help -I'm thinking restriction since it'* kinda rough -not real rough, but a few bumps here and there.
Pics will be up by tonight -have to get to Gordy'* now.

The ceramic coating on the inside should actually help keep the heat from the exhaust gas inside the manifolds, it'* a good thing. Many headers are coated inside and out for that reason.

I'm concerned with the finish quality on the port inlets. And I have NFC what the coating on the mating surface of the flanges will do.

Yeah, my concern is getting a good smooth finish without chipping the edges so the ceramic doesn't chip off.
I personally think they could use another coat or two -so I'm picking up a can of VHT ceramic header coating and will put a second coat on, bake in oven, put third coat on and bake in oven again.
After that I'm going to take them into the local machine shop and see if they can clean the mating surface down to like it should be, but without taking hardly any metal though.

Marty, don't use the VHT. You'll cook it off. I did.

Get a large stone for sharpening a knife and use it to flatten the surface. No need to be perfect, but look for warping. You'll see it as you go.

Use gaskets during reassembly.

(some of you may not know the Series 1 L67 had no EM gaskets from the factory).
