Also with the tuner you could make an even stronger performance shift mode.

and its the CLEAR connector (C2) of the PCM

the other thing to keep in mind is the 00+ crowd can add a switch. TommyGloves proved it out and confirmed the ability to add it.

Are these shift buttons on the console? I have the column shifter but would like to add a shift kit to complement the new motor. I would like the ability to switch from normal to a fairly aggressive mode. Or should I wait until I get a PCM?

The 95 pcm may not support this type of change and is also OBD1.5. The pre 96'* are much tougher to tune as you have to get custom Eproms burned instead of being able to program your pcm on the fly with a tuner.
