That'* a nice CAI, Foghorn. My PCM is in the same location so using a rice pipe becomes a little complicated. What materials did you use to make the box?

Every time I see foghorn'* CAI, I just about wet myself. It'* so perfectly made.

*sigh*

anyway, he used cardboard to make a layout for the parts he was going to put together. Then, he used some nice polycarbonate sheet (about 1/4 inch thick, if memory serves) and screwed it together (tapped all of the holes and such), and some good reflectix brand insulation on the inside of the box.

anything off there? that was from memory, so feel free to correct me...

<edit> how did you bend your PC? heat gun?

LOL, yep that'* how it was done mkaake . You can use a heat gun to bend the Lexan (polycarbonate) so you can get the contour you need to go around parts.

Making the prototype out cardboard is a crucial step, it easy to use and cheap!

I'll be throwing my HAI together this weekend. The C part is going to have to wait a little bit for the upper intake project to be finished, as it'* going to move the location of my TB around a little bit. unless I go for the gusto, figure out where it'* going to end up, and make my heat sheild in such a way that it can be used for both without any major changes.

every time I see a good CAI, i want to run out and make mine...
