to help extend the life of their engine by decreasing oil contamination from the intake tract to the combustion chamber.
But it seems they are preaching about keeping oil out of your intake.
I myself have never noticed any amount of lost oil between oil changes in my bonneville to warent worrying about the oil contaminating my intake through the pcv.
If someone has a problem with oil consumption I think they should look else where for a fix before considering this.
The premise of this is that when pressure builds in the crankcase, it is relieved and vented into the intake via the PCV. There is a certain amount of oil vapor in this air as it is under pressure and flows through the system.
